Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is currently hiring an Associate or Experienced Test & Evaluation Technician to join the Patriot Advanced Capability 3 (PAC3) team located in Huntsville, AL. This position will support the production rate increase and advanced technology upgrade activities. This role will be involved in production support activities as well as continuous development projects and ensuring complex test equipment reliability.
Boeing Huntsville has multi-year contracts to develop, manufacture, and test the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) missile seeker and future improvements. These contracts are driving significant, long-term growth for the PAC-3 engineering team on the Huntsville campus.
Shift Work Statement: This position is for A (1st) Shift. (M-Th; 4x10)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 2+ years of experience in a production-based test environment
  • 2+ years of experience leading or conducting complex lab testing in an integrated test team environment
  • 2+ years of experience communicating and collaborating directly with internal or external customers, peers, other employees, and all levels of leadership
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Associates degree or higher
  • Experience with MTS software application programs (TWE, MPT, TW4, MTS 793)
  • Experience with operations of closed loop system testing
  • Experience in electrical/thermal/vibration testing of assemblies, parts and sub-components

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Level 2: 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • Level 3: 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
Responsibilities
  • Plans, conducts and documents complex tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies
  • Designs, fabricates, builds and analyzes test systems, materials, components, software and methodologies
  • Coordinates test requirements, determines test methods and capabilities.
  • Conducts system test preparations by guiding system integration, fabrication, modification, setup, checkout and teardown
  • Performs test article configuration control.
  • Conducts complex tests, analyzes data and documents results; participates in test readiness reviews
  • Identifies and resolves test anomalies
  • Troubleshoots and resolves complex laboratory and test-related problems
  • Coordinates test laboratory activities, maintenance and repairs, and personnel training
  • Assists government agencies, safety and hazardous materials teams in the event of emergencies
  • Coaches and trains others
  • Works under minimal direction
    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
