SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Create a positive teaching and learning environment conducive to student success
  • Prepare and update lesson plans using effective teaching techniques and current technologies
  • Deliver courses aligned with curriculum standards
  • Prepare, administer, and grade assignments, tests, and examinations
  • Monitor student performance, maintain progress reports, and support student achievement
  • Communicate promptly and effectively with students regarding coursework and expectations
  • Adhere to the Academic Calendar and all relevant policies and procedures of Lambton College

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • NFPA 1001 Firefighter I, II
  • NFPA 1072 Hazmat Awareness, Operations
  • NFPA 1041 Instructor I
  • NFPA 1035 Fire & Life Safety Educator I
  • NFPA 1035 Public Information Officer
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience
