PETREDIS INVESTMENT ADVISORS – ASSOCIATE FINANCIAL ADVISOR JOB DESCRIPTION
Petredis Investment Advisors is an independent registered investment advisory (RIA) wealth management firm seeking to hire an Associate Financial Advisor (AFA).
The AFA will work with Petredis Investment Advisors’ financial advisors and client associates to help clients develop, execute, and monitor financial plans, investment strategies, recommendations, and client-related action items. The AFA will operate within a financial planning framework defined by Petredis Investment Advisors. Financial advisor activities will occupy 80%+ of the AFA’s time.
The AFA will also periodically execute client service action items like opening client accounts, creating DocuSign paperwork, answering incoming client phone calls and other administrative tasks. Client service activities will occupy up to 20% of the AFA’s time.
Our ideal candidate wants to join a high-performing team and contribute for 25+ years. Our goal is for the AFA to earn more responsibility and autonomy over time, leading to significant increases in compensation.
The AFA will service our firm’s existing clients and is not expected to bring in new clients. If you are currently a financial advisor and have a book of business, you should still apply for our AFA role. Prior financial advisory experience is preferred but not essential to the AFA role.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree
· Series 65 or 66 registrations preferred but not required
· Prior financial advisory or other wealth management experience is preferred but not required. We will consider candidates with experience in finance, accounting, or other technical fields
· Prior eMoney experience preferred but not required. We also value prior experience with other financial planning software tools
· Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation is preferred but not required. The AFA will be expected to obtain a CFP designation if they do not already have a CFP designation. CFP study time will largely occur outside of work hours
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
· Strong attention to detail
· Strong organization skills
· Ability to multitask effectively. The AFA will be responsible for completing many action item lists for many client households simultaneously
· Strong basic algebra, math, and logic skills
· Strong soft skills including verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills
· Strong Microsoft Windows & Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.

JOB SUMMARY:

Work Hours/Week: 40 hours per week in office five days per week, periodic overtime, no remote. Generally, 8:00am to 5:00pm daily with a 1-hour lunch break, though start and end times will vary based on client appointment timing

Salary Range: $120,000/year or greater starting base salary with potential for periodic performance-based bonuses. Compensation will be based on experience and competence.
· Directly interface with clients of the firm, financial advisors and client associates
· Update client financial planning materials and action items before each client meeting, and then execute all client-related action items by interacting with the firm’s trader, client associates, financial advisors and clients
· Create detailed notes for client reviews and prepare regulatory documentation
· Create and maintain client financial plans using eMoney financial planning software
· Serve as a backup to client associates during their vacation days (execute administrative-oriented activities)
· Maintain professionalism, discretion and confidentiality in accordance with firm policy
