WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 2-5 years of project finance model building experience.
  • Previous experience of financial modelling in a big four firm, sponsor, bank or similar financial institution.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree level educated or equivalent qualifications
  • Accountancy Qualifications desirable
  • Finance Qualifications desirable
  • Engineering Qualifications desirable

Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Providing modelling support to enable the development, execution and management of the project finance across all sectors within ESFO (European Structured Finance Office).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and build intermediate/complex models in respect of project/structured finance transactions.
  • Respond to day-to-day queries raised by client/other banks in respect of the financial model and attend client meetings.
  • Review models prepared by clients and other financial institutions, applying appropriate stress tests in conjunction with the originating deal team.
  • Develop and train juniors within the team.
  • Work with colleagues in the Credit function to co-ordinate the production of cash flow analysis papers to inform investment decisions.
  • Liaise with clients at a counterpart level to relay specific information and respond to routine queries ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Build relationships throughout MUFG to establish a peer network, gather relevant information and help to ensure effective inter-departmental collaboration.
  • Produce RORA calculations and swap line calculations at various stages of the transaction cycle.
  • Develop a practical understanding of all core systems and procedures within ESFO and how they link into standard systems in order to respond to enquiries.
