Responsibilities & Qualifications

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Complete journal entries by reviewing for reasonableness, comparing to source documentation, and providing referenced backup
  • Complete trial balance analysis, reconciliations, and explain material variances and discrepancies to management
  • Help prepare financial statements and regulatory filings on a statutory basis
  • Write reports that contain financial data to assist monitoring fiscal activity
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of enterprise financial systems and analysis tools, including Microsoft Excel
  • And input data into financial systems to create complete and accurate financial records

It’s required that you have:

  • a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent combination of education and training
  • 0- 2 years’ experience
  • Knowledge in excel, accounting principles, methods, and theories and the ability to apply such knowledge in practical applications

What sets you apart:

  • Making progress towards your CPA and/or MBA
  • Insurance industry experience- even better if that experience is in workers’ comp!
  • Experience using Workday Financials

The base pay range is based on the market evaluation of the job and may include pay for multiple levels. Individual base pay within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including experience, performance, education, and demonstration of skills and competencies required for each role. Your recruiter can discuss the full value of our total compensation package with you, including our generous bonus plans and flex-hybrid work model.
Base Pay Range: $29.84 - $36.86 Per Hour

Texas Mutual’s flex-hybrid schedule allows you to bring your best self to work by working remotely and collaborating in the office based on business needs. All Texas Mutual employees are required to have Texas residency and travel to their designated office as needed.
