Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING ?

Our Financial Reporting team is currently looking for a talented Associate - Financial Reporting to join their team in Birmingham. The Financial Reporting team is a part of the wider team of Audit and Assurance, which will give you a great opportunity to collaborate with other teams across Audit. In your role, you will focus on accurate processing of clients’ financial data, preparation of annual financial accounts and associated outputs within the timeframe agreed with the client or required by statute. You will also be liaising with the audit team to ensure that financial statements are prepared to a high standard and on a timely basis to allow audit procedures to be completed and key deadlines met.

AS AN ASSOCIATE - FINANCIAL REPORTING, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE AMONG OTHERS

  • Preparing annual financial statements including statutory accounts, predominately under FRS102. This includes consolidated financial statements for our group clients.
  • Interacting with clients to undertake accounting work as required – both over telephone/e-mail and potentially occasional on-site client visits.
  • Working closely with the audit and business tax teams to provide a seamless service to clients and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Sharing ideas about how best to operate the accounts preparation process in order to improve efficiencies for the firm.
    Qualifications

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU SHOULD

  • Be studying towards ACA qualification
  • Having previous relevant experience gained within a professional services firm.
  • Strong communication skills, both internally and directly with clients.
  • Being able to organise self and others, such that you can work on several different assignments at one time.
