Key Responsibilities: The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring timely payments to the staff / vendors preparation, submission of monthly financial reports for internal and external stakeholders and maintaining assets and liabilities schedules. Specific responsibilities include: Approval / checking of local and foreign payments as per the approved authority matrix, ensure accurate recording, tax compliances and AKU’s policy compliance. Supervision of staff who process and check payments. Ensuring that all payments are made well on time and institutions commitments are fulfilled. Liaise with various departments for day-to-day matters including payments, etc. Prepare / Review of monthly schedules and reports for assets, liabilities, projects as assigned and follow with the relevant stakeholders for the recovery/adjustments of funds/status. Preparation of annual withholding tax reconciliation. Take active part in monthly, quarterly and annual closing related activities and internal and external audit. Preparation of databases and dashboards using power bi and excel Any other assignments assigned by the supervisor. Preparation of monthly schedules, reports, BVR responses. Perform quarterly and annual closing related activities and prepare variance analysis Annual audit tasks / activities as assigned Annual withholding tax reconciliation. Requirements: You should have: ICMA , CA, ACCA finalist or MBA in Finance or Bachelors with 5 years of relevant work experience Minimum four years' experience in Finance. Proficiency in power bi and dashboard preparation Good knowledge of accounting principles Strong analytical skills Good interpersonal and communication Proficiency in use of computer packages specially MS Office Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
