Job Roles / Responsibilities: You will be responsible for ensuring timely payments to the staff / vendors preparation, preparation of dashboards and submission of monthly financial reports to internal and external stakeholders and maintaining assets and liabilities schedules. Key Responsibilities: Approval / checking of local and foreign payments as per the approved authority matrix, ensure accurate recording, tax compliances and AKU’s policy compliance. Supervision of staff who process payments. Ensuring that all payments are made well on time and institutions commitments are fulfilled. Liaise with various departments for day-to-day matters including payments, contracts, etc. Prepare / Review of monthly schedules and reports for assets, liabilities, projects as assigned and follow with the relevant stakeholders for the recovery/adjustments of funds/status. Preparation of annual withholding tax reconciliation. Take active part in monthly, quarterly and annual general ledger closing activities and internal and external audit. Preparation of databases and dashboards using power bi and excel analysis Any other assignments assigned by the supervisor. Requirements: The candidate should have: ICMA qualified/ (2-3 papers left), ACCA qualified/ (2-3 papers left) or MBA in Finance or Bachelors with 5 years of relevant work experience Minimum four years' experience in Finance and leading teams Proficiency in Power Bi or dashboard preparation in excel Proficiency in MS Office Good knowledge of accounting and tax principles Strong analytical skills Good interpersonal and communication Team player Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
