ABOUT THE ROLE

Minelab is seeking a senior legal professional to lead its Legal and Compliance function across the Americas region. This strategic role is responsible for ensuring that all business activities within the Americas region of the Codan Group comply with applicable legislation, regulatory requirements, and internal standards.
You will provide high-quality, commercially focused legal and compliance advice to regional business units, enabling sound decision-making and proactive risk management. The position includes leadership of the regional legal team, driving a culture of performance, accountability, and solution-oriented support. As a key member of the global legal leadership team, you will work closely with the Group General Counsel to support the development and execution of Codan’s global legal and compliance strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

• Lead the Legal & Compliance function across the Americas, aligning with Codan’s global legal and compliance strategy.
• Provide legal advice and support on all commercial contracts, risk related matters, M&A and strategic initiatives, and relevant regional regulatory matters.
• Manage a high-performing regional legal team and external counsel (as necessary).
• Oversee compliance programs, policies, and training across the region.
• Provide oversight and direction as it applies to government contracting, export controls, sanctions, and IP management.
• Advise senior leadership and regional business unit heads on legal risk, governance, and strategic initiatives.
• Ensure regional alignment with global legal and compliance frameworks.
