Company Description Job Description We’re looking for someone who is eager, curious, and ready to grow in government affairs. This role is ideal for a graduate student or early-career professional with a strong interest in public policy, legislative processes, and the intersection between government and the resort industry. You’ll work directly with senior leadership, support ongoing policy initiatives, and occasionally represent the company in introductory or lower-level meetings. What You’ll Do Research and Policy Support Monitor state and local legislation, regulatory activity, and key policy issues. Prepare summaries, briefings, and background materials ahead of meetings and hearings. Draft talking points, memos, and written responses. Government Affairs Operations Assist with scheduling, meeting prep, and follow-up across government and community partners. Maintain trackers for bills, committees, stakeholder outreach, and political engagement. Support coalition-building efforts with industry groups, NGOs, and community partners. Representation and Engagement Attend certain working groups, task force meetings, and informational sessions on behalf of the organization as needed. Provide meeting notes identify issues requiring escalation and recommend follow-up actions. Serve as an initial point of contact with staff-level government offices and agencies. Internal Coordination Collaborate with internal teams on data collection, impact analysis, and regulatory compliance items. Support the development of presentations for executives, board members, and external partners. Help organize briefings, site visits, and stakeholder tours. Qualifications Current graduate student or recent graduate in public policy, political science, law or related field. Strong interest in policymaking, legislative processes, and government affairs. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop clear and compelling policy materials. Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships. Demonstrated eagerness to learn, takes initiative, and ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to represent the company appropriately in meetings when delegated. Ability to travel as needed, including occasional overnight or out‑of‑state trips.
