The Monterey Bay Service District and the California Conservation Corps (CCC) has that position for you!
Under the direction of the District Director, and the guidelines of the Corpsmember Development Unit, the Transition Navigator will prepare and place young adult members of the CCC in post-Corps employment, training or educational opportunities as outlined in Public Resources Code Section 14420—14424.

The role of the Navigator is to:

  • Manage a caseload of assigned Corpsmembers;
  • Facilitate goal-setting both short and long-term for the Corpsmembers;
  • Support Corpsmembers to create a plan for success by setting SMART goals;
  • Work with the Navigator network to build Career Pathways and ensure successful program implementation;
  • Maintain the database for effective reporting to the legislature and continuous improvement; and
  • Build a baseline of resources.

Working Conditions
The CCC Monterey Bay District operates two Center locations, one in Watsonville and one in Salinas. Evening work, occasional travel to meetings and field sites may be required, including some out of town and overnight travel. A Driver’s License is required to drive State vehicles.
The work involves prolonged periods of sitting or standing, daily use of a keyboard, mouse, computer, and phone.
This position is classified as “In Office” and is not eligible for telework.
