Description:

Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I (SSM), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) works autonomously within the Board of Pharmacy (Board) Licensing Unit A. The APGA performs the most multifaceted and multidimensional analytical research and review, serves as resource analyst, subject matter expert, and performs these functions to ensure effective operation of the Board’s site licensing program. The AGPA serves as the resource analyst and lead for the pharmacy license applications and is an expert for special projects requiring Board representation/participation. The AGPA performs those functions to ensure the effective operation of the Board’s licensing program and its strategic objectives and that the department’s licensing for job creation goals are met. The AGPA performs complex analytical duties and assures the minimum requirements are met prior to issuance of the site license.
The AGPA utilizes the Consumer Affairs System (CAS), the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), the DCA’s Quality Business Interactive Reporting Tool (QBIRT) and Microsoft Office. The position may require the use of various office machines and software programs.

Working Conditions
The incumbent works 40 hours per week in an office setting, with artificial light and temperature control. The use of a personal computer, telephone, copier and fax machine is essential to the duties of this position. The position requires bending and stooping to retrieve files, sitting and standing consistent with office work, and occasional light lifting of no more than 25 lbs.
