PROCUREMENT AND CONTRACTING DIVISION
The Procurement and Contracting Division (PCD) provides an array of contract services to DHCS programs including, but not limited to: the development and maintenance of models, forms, user guides and exhibits; assisting with all steps of contract planning including resolving contracting out issues; providing advice on competitive bidding issues including available bidding options; providing technical assistance during the contract development phase; reviewing and approving contracts, and acting as liaison with control agencies; and maintaining all Department contract files.

Responsibilities:
The role of the Procurement Analyst is to carry out a broad spectrum of tasks to support Medi-Cal procurement projects and contract development. The AGPA analyzes and manages the development and review of more complex procurements and contracts, both independently and collaboratively. The AGPA offers consultation services on complex solicitation functions to other DHCS programs. Responsibilities include understanding the goals and contractual needs of departmental programs and reviewing and processing various contract types. The AGPA provides essential oversight, works within a team, tackles challenging and intricate analytical tasks, and supports program staff and team members in their duties. As a journey-level analyst, the AGPA operates with a significant degree of independence.
