Description

Are you interested in making a difference in the lives of fellow Californians while achieving your career goals? Do you set high standards for yourself and enjoy a collaborative and challenging work environment? The Child Care Program’s (CCP) Program Office within the Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) may be the perfect fit for you.
The Child Care Program Office (CCP) is currently accepting applications for an Associate Governmental Program Analysts (AGPA)/Staff Services Analyst (SSA) within the Training Unit in the Program Office. Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the AGPA/SSA (Trainer) is responsible for identifying statewide training needs for the Child Care Program staff. This identification is achieved through assessment surveys, research, understanding established policies and procedures related to training, and providing technical support to licensing staff to promote continuous quality improvement. The AGPA/SSA collaborates and provided ongoing training to child care licensing staff, internal Department and Division staff, and external partners. The AGPA/SSA applies techniques for leading discussions, stimulates interactive training, facilitates the sharing of experiences, and incorporates California State and federal resources for field staff to use as community resources for professional development in the child care field. The AGPA/SSA designs training modules, developes learning materials that consider equity and diversity, and facilitates identified training using principles of adult learning theory to accommodate the audience’s needs. All training developed and delivered should align with the latest policies and legislation, research, and standards for the early learning and child care sector, in addition to regulatory administration. Through regular data system reviews and performance data analysis, the Trainer determines where training efforts should be focused to improve overall program delivery. Once training needs are identified, the Trainer will design, develop, and facilitate relevant training for the 21 Child Care Regional Offices located throughout California. This includes planning and scheduling training sessions and coordinating logistics. The position requires statewide travel and the ability to transport and use a laptop and other equipment in the field. Applicants must possess valid California Driver’s License and be willing and able to travel. Experience as a Trainer and/or Licensing Program Analyst is preferred.
