The Disability Insurance Branch (DIB) is looking for an action-oriented analyst to join our Central Office Division Education and Outreach Unit. Under the general direction of the Education and Outreach Unit manager, the Outreach analyst will:

• Participate and attend State Disability Insurance (SDI) outreach events or presentations.
• Conduct in-person and virtual presentations to stakeholders, including claimants, employers, medical professionals, and community-based organizations.
• Develop, review, maintain, and copy edit outreach material including publications, website content, presentations, webinars, tutorials, videos, and training.
• Support enterprise projects, legislative changes, or system changes that impact external DIB outreach material and information.

• Develop, review, and copy edit email inquiries from external stakeholders including advocacy groups, state departments, the legislature, media outlets and other organizations.

  The DIB administers the SDI program, which includes DI, PFL, Nonindustrial Disability Insurance (NDI) and NDI-Family Care Leave for state employees, and voluntary plans. The program covers more than 18 million workers and provides financial stability to workers and their families when they are unable to work because of their own disability or need to take time off work to bond with a new child, care for a seriously ill family member, or participate in a qualifying military event. We strive to deliver timely benefit payments and quality service to all our customers.
  This position may be eligible for telework under EDD’s telework policy. California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California to telecommute. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.
