SUMMARY

The Human Resources Generalist supports key HR functions across our Kansas, Utah, and Texas manufacturing plants. Reporting to the HR Director, this role focuses on executing HR initiatives that enhance employee engagement, ensure compliance, and improve operational efficiency. Working closely with plant leadership and cross-functional teams, the generalist contributes to talent acquisition, employee relations, performance support, and workforce development. This position helps align HR practices with business goals while promoting a safe, inclusive, and productive workplace culture.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or HR certification preferred, e.g., SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR).
  • 1-3 years of HR experience, with at least 1 year in a manufacturing setting.
  • Working knowledge of HR functions such as recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Must be advanced in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software programs.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with plant leadership to support HR strategies that align with operational goals and workforce development across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Travel regularly (minimum 50%) to Kansas, Utah, and Texas plants to provide on-site HR support, build relationships, and ensure consistency in HR practices.
  • Support employee relations activities, including investigations, conflict resolution, and coaching, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
  • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding for hourly and salaried roles, working with local teams to attract and retain talent.
  • Assist in monitoring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies across all plant locations.
  • Help facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee skills, engagement, and growth.
  • Collaborate with the HR Director and broader HR team on initiatives such as workforce planning and organizational development.
  • Track and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and corrective actions.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture focused on safety, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
