Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Associate HR People Partner (AHRPP) to join our HR People Partnering team.
This is a hands-on, operational role where you will act as the first point of contact for managers and staff across a diverse and high-profile portfolio, including: Finance, Office of General Counsel, Commercial & Procurement, President & Provost’s Office, Vice-President (Advancement), Vice-President (External Engagement), and Vice-President (Strategy).

It’s a fantastic entry into HR People Partnering at UCL, offering wide exposure and the opportunity to build valuable experience in:

  • Managing a caseload of employee relations matters (disciplinary, grievance, capability, sickness absence, probation).
  • Delivering policy-focused learning sessions to managers.
  • Providing HR data and analytics to support decision-making.
  • Offering day-to-day advice and guidance to managers and employees.
  • Supporting wider projects and people initiatives led by the HR People Partnering team.

You will report to the HR People Partner and work closely with the Senior HR People Partner, gaining support and coaching as you develop. This role provides a strong foundation for building a career in HR People Partnering.
Please note this is a fixed term contract (or internal secondment) role starting on 2nd January 2026 through to 31st July 2026 and is available on a hybrid basis at our London Kings Cross/ St Pancras Bidborough House office 2-days per week (Monday and one other).
