ASSOCIATE INSURANCE ADVISOR - BILINGUAL ENGLISH AND PORTUGUESE OR SPANISH-

SUMMARY:

The Associate Insurance Advisor focuses servicing of of Auto, Home, Commercial and Life insurance clients in the agency. Ideally, the candidates are LLQP (preferred) and OTL licensed which is required to service Home, Auto and Commercial clients. This is a key role in supporting and developing agency operations

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • LLQP is preferred but not required.
  • OTL Insurance License is required and we may assist the candidate to obtain it.
  • Meet all provincial-licensing requirements in accordance with continuing education to obtain and maintain all licenses.
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Fully proficient in English and Portuguese or Spanish.
  • A minimum of two (2) year sales or customer service experience or related business
  • Extensive experience in a fast paced office admin environment
  • Capable of multi-tasking in a in a fast paced office admin environment

Knowledge of insurance products and strong underwriting skills is an asset.

  • Strong English skills in communication (verbal and written), organization, time management, client service, decision making, problem solving.
  • Candidate must be comfortable in a technology dependent environment including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Valid drivers license is required.
  • The successful candidate shall be subject to a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities
  • Support development of the agency operation through the developing leads for Home, Auto, Commercial and Life, CA and Disability products.
  • Proactively complete client reviews on existing clients with focus on updating client’s files and assessing if policies meet underwriting criteria
  • Cross sell for other product lines by completing needs analysis uncover other insurance needs that the client may have.
  • Complete front-line risk assessment and selection, following underwriting guidelines.
  • Achieve individual goals for client service, sales, quality and productivity and contribute to the achievement of overall agency sales and growth goals.
