Job Description: Associate Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Design Engineer Abu Dhabi, UAE Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Associate Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Design Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to develop ITS and Security Systems Designs for transportation infrastructure Projects. What You'll Be Doing: Assist in the development of ITS system architecture and design. Support the design and documentation of ITS infrastructure using Autocad and BIM tools under the guidance of senior engineers. Assist in preparing network layouts, equipment specifications, cable routing and interface drawings for ITS systems. Review and understand the requirements of subsystems such as CCTV, VMS, traffic sensors, controllers, and communication devices. Contribute to the development of technical submissions, drawings, and bill of quantities (BOQs). Participate in design coordination meetings with multidisciplinary teams. Work closely with the ITS, Smart City, and infrastructure teams to ensure proper integration of communication networks with field ITS equipment. Learn and apply relevant ITS standards, technologies, and protocols over time. Participate in the development and review of engineering drawings and documentation. Help maintain document version control, revision tracking, Authority submissions, and design database updates. Coordinate with internal teams such as instrumentation, control, and IT for technical alignment. What Required Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electronics, Electrical, Control, or Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 1 year of experience in ITS, Network, or Security systems design or implementation for Industrial, Buildings, Fire systems, Traffic, or Transportation Applications. However, Fresh Graduates preferably from credited Universities, Bachelor’s degree, with High GPA, or Master’s degree are encouraged to apply even with no relevant experience. are encouraged to apply. Basic understanding of ITS system structure, automation principles, and communication protocols. Familiarity with engineering documentation standards and structured technical workflows. Exposure to industrial automation environments, ideally in utilities or infrastructure sectors. What Desired Skills You'll Bring: CCNA Certificate is a strong advantage. Capability to work with CAD and BIM design tools. Good knowledge of network design and implementation. Prior exposure to ITS components such as Traffic Signals, CCTV, VMS, radar detectors, or SCADA is a plus. Ability to read and interpret network schematics and single-line diagrams. Detail-oriented and organized with a proactive learning attitude. Strong English communication skills to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams. Ability to follow instructions while contributing ideas for improvement. Good time management and ability to handle multiple tasks under guidance. Soft Skills – Eagerness to learn and grow within the ITS domain; Strong communication and teamwork skills; Attention to detail and a methodical approach to technical documentation; Willingness to work under the mentorship of senior engineers and contribute to collaborative project delivery.
