WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As an Associate Designer, you’ll own and assist the creative vision for each project while managing timelines and ensuring client satisfaction. Your expertise will set the tone for exceptional design standards.

• Design Leadership: Work collaboratively across multiple high-end residential design projects from concept through installation; take ownership of specific project components within each assignment.
• Client Engagement: Collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, artisans, and vendors while representing the studio’s commitment to excellence.
• Project Oversight: Develop detailed drawings, specifications, and mood boards during schematic design, design development, and construction documentation phases.
• Team Collaboration: Coordinate with team members to produce plans, elevations, and material selections that ensure design intent is seamlessly executed.
• Material Selection: Assist with premium material sourcing, create comprehensive specifications, and review contractor submittals for adherence to design vision.
• Quality Control: Ensure all work meets Lawler Design Studio’s high standards for precision and elegance.

To be successful in this role, you should bring expertise, creativity, and a strong ability to assist with projects from start to finish.

• Experience: 5+ years relevant experience in high-end residential interior design with strong portfolio demonstrating design excellence.
• Design Skills: Expertise in space planning, color theory, materials, and furnishings. Proficiency in design software is required, including AutoCAD. Experience with SketchUp and 3D modeling is preferred.
• Leadership: Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Client Focus: A client-first mindset with excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Attention to Detail: A meticulous eye for creating stunning, functional designs.
• Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
• Lawler Design Studio works on projects throughout the country and therefore travel is required
