Description

We are a growing financial services and technologies firm and are currently looking for a detail-oriented, self-driven, very well-organized, and bright team member to serve as an account manager in the provision of investor relations and investor roadshow services.
The team member will be responsible for outreach and pitches on companies to investors, preparing outreach materials and target lists for the team’s pitches, managing roadshow meetings virtually and in-person. The role will be responsible for expanding the firm’s buy-side, sell-side, and private investor network through targeted searches and database management. Importantly, the team member will manage some aspects of the firm’s relationship with corporate clients.
The team member will operate at top management level on a daily basis and develop contacts and relationships with investment managers, analysts, and C-suite executives of listed and private companies.
The position will require the team member to be client-oriented, to have an understanding of and an interest in investor relations, project finance, and corporate finance, capital market structures, processes, and trends. The position also requires qualities of persistence, politeness, accountability, and other hallmarks of good client relationship management practices.

Specifically, the position requires:

  • Prior experience in the financial services industry (preferred)
  • Prior experience in account management, client relations and/or investor relations responsibilities (preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills and a capacity to multi-task while following process rigorously
  • Detail oriented with an ability to ensure quality control and consistency
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as a capacity to interact and participate within the team
  • Skills for and interest in attending conferences, meetings in and around NYC and outside of NYC, skills for and interest in meeting new people
  • Interest in traveling for business 10 to 20 days per year

Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage relationships with corporate clients and generally manage client accounts – understand corporate client objectives with the partners and production teams, take charge of corporate accounts on a daily basis, serve as point of contact for the clients
  • Assist with operations, planning and production of the firm’s events, including investor presentations and forums
  • Create targets lists and executive summaries for the firm’s investor outreach
  • Analyze client delivery, prepare, and present reporting materials for the firm’s clients
  • Manage relationships with asset managers, other types of investors, analysts, and investment bankers
  • Schedule investor meetings and accompany corporate clients to investor meetings during non-deal roadshows
  • Develop new relationships for the firm at different levels, especially at the buy-side level
  • Command of core software tools (Gmail, MS Office, HubSpot, other web applications) to record activities, contacts and data gathered into firm databases

The compensation for this position is competitive and commensurate to experience, base+bonus will be in the $70-80k range in year 1 depending on experience.
