Job Description: Associate ITS Engineer Abu Dhabi, UAE Parsons is looking for an Associate Intelligent Transport System (ITS) Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will assist in the design and development of ITS infrastructure, including traffic signal systems, communication networks, and control centers, supporting senior engineers in delivering innovative and efficient transport solutions for road and urban projects. What You'll Be Doing: Participating in the design and review of ITS and communications systems equipment and infrastructure for roads, urban areas, and expressway projects in accordance with international and local standards. Assisting in the design and review of traffic control systems for signalized junctions. Supporting the design and review of CCTV camera systems, smart transportation systems, and related field equipment. Assisting in the preparation of design drawings, schematics, calculations, and technical documentation using relevant software tools. Supporting coordination with other engineering disciplines to ensure ITS and communications systems are fully integrated with civil, electrical, and mechanical works. Assisting in the development of technical specifications, bills of quantities, and tender documents under the guidance of senior engineers. Conducting basic research, data collection, and analysis to support ITS planning and design activities. Participating in site visits, inspections, and technical meetings as required. Performing other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. What Required Skills You'll Bring: BSc Degree in Engineering – Computer, Telecommunications, Electronics, or Electrical – in any technology‑related field such as networks, systems, AI, or cyber security from a reputable and accredited university. Relevant knowledge or experience in ITS, traffic systems, or related fields (through internships, academic projects, or professional experience). Basic knowledge of ITS concepts, traffic control systems, and communication networks. Knowledge of AutoCAD and relevant engineering/design software. Good written and spoken English communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to learn and develop technical expertise. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and follow guidance from senior engineers. What Desired Skills You'll Bring: Fresh graduates from accredited universities are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with international and local standards related to ITS, traffic signals, and communications systems. Exposure to or coursework in traffic engineering, transport planning, or network communications. Experience (academic or professional) with ITS/traffic software tools or modeling platforms. Responsibilities

The Associate ITS Engineer will assist senior engineers in the design and development of Intelligent Transport System infrastructure, including traffic signals, communication networks, and control centers for road and urban projects.
