Permanent/Continuing, full-time appointment Based at our Liverpool Campus Level A: $94,694 - $110,941 + 17% Superannuation OR Level B: $119,491 - $137,996 + 17% Superannuation OR Level C: $145,142 - $163,693 + 17% Superannuation Position will be offered at level commensurate with experience The School of Social Sciences at the University of Wollongong invites applications for a continuing academic position in Criminology to support the launch and delivery of our new Bachelor of Criminology program at the Liverpool campus in Sydney. The position is expected to start in February 2026, with flexibility to negotiate a later start date for the right candidate. We welcome applications from candidates at Level A, B, or C. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing discipline group and contribute to the development of a dynamic, student-focused program. The successful candidate will play a key role in research, teaching, and service, and will serve as the primary academic contact for students in Criminology at Liverpool. We are looking for candidates who: Hold a PhD in Criminology and/or Criminal Justice (or closely related field) or are near completion (with expected conferral within 12 months of appointment). Have a strong track record of research productivity, including publications in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals. Demonstrate teaching effectiveness, supported by student evaluations or other evidence of impact. Show a commitment to fostering open inquiry, viewpoint diversity, and constructive disagreement in the classroom and broader academic environment.
