Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Department of Culture, Communication and Media at UCL is looking to appoint three Associate Lecturers (Teaching) in Communication to support the delivery of our BA Communications programme.
The roles are ideally suited to early career candidates with a PhD or are very close to completion.

You will contribute to the teaching and assessment of undergraduate modules within BA Communications programmme. You will provide academic and pastoral support to a diverse cohort of students and contribute to curriculum development and enhancement, as appropriate.

  • In this post you will deliver high-quality teaching at undergraduate level through lectures, seminars, workshops and individual tutorials;
  • Undertake assessment tasks including marking, moderation, examination and providing timely feedback;
  • Supervise projects and practical coursework;
  • Contribute to the programme administrative processes as required.

The 0.21 FTE posts are fixed-term appointments from 1 September 2025 (or as soon as possible thereafter) until 31 July 2026.
