Description Global-e is looking for a labor & employment-focused counsel to join our global legal team. The position is in Israel however this position has ownership over global employment, across our diverse regions including North America, Europe, APAC and Israel. This comes along with supporting a range of additional corporate matters across our company. Responsibilities Serve as the main legal focal point for global employment and HR matters such employment contracts and policies, hiring, general employee relations consultations and visa processes, and employment benefits Work closely with managers and HR to provide advice on sensitive issues Manage and instruct external legal advisors on employment-related matters Draft, establish and implement legal policies and strategies and work on employment initiatives worldwide, including employment and labour law training programs for management Provide general legal support to the business around the world, including corporate matters such as entity establishment, licenses and other agreements, as well as formulate and revise standard terms and conditions of employment and HR policies Requirements 5+ years of relevant legal experience as an in-house company (mandatory requirement), ideally with a focus on employment law in the technology sector Understanding of employment frameworks and regulations (FMLA, ADA) and significant experience in providing advice to multi-national organizations, with proven ability to match legal expertise to commercial business context Experience working closely with HR, recruiting and finance Self-reliant and able to prioritize workload Ability to work in either French, German, Dutch or Japanese – a distinct advantage
Responsibilities
