What you’ll do:
We seek an Associate Manager – Corporate Accounting as part of our European Accounting operations to join our Company in a full-time and permanent contract position. The role offers flexibility to work both remotely and on a hybrid model, based in Italy.
The day-to-day:

As Associate Manager - Corporate Accounting, key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the Corporate Controller’s organization’s mission of quality and integrity in the US GAAP monthly close process for various EMEA entities
  • Preparing and reviewing monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items.
  • Supporting the annual statutory close process and compliance of EMEA entities
  • Coordinating and communicating with the Accounting/Finance teams and outside service providers to ensure the timely completion of the month and quarter-end processes.
  • Reviewing European subsidiaries’ balance sheet and income statement for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with US GAAP while performing risk assessments for European subsidiaries.
  • Supporting new accounting system implementation & processes as Viasat continues its international growth.
  • Assisting in projects related to the growth and integration of Viasat’s business across Europe.
  • Maintaining inter-company balances for various European subsidiaries, including preparing the monthly reconciliation packages.
  • Coordinating with AP/AR accountants to keep all invoicing and customer billings current.
  • Ensuring high-quality documentation and adherence to policies and procedures across European entities.
  • Owning the external/internal audits and coordinating statutory audits for the timely and efficient filing of statutory and Tax accounts for EMEA entities.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with the statutory reporting and tax teams for timely completion and filings of statutory reporting requirements.

What you’ll need:

  • Professional accounting qualification (CA/ACCA/CPA)
  • Three years of post-qualification experience either in auditing, reporting, or accounting.
  • Persuasive communication skills that enable clear communication to all levels of management
  • Good understanding of US GAAP, IFRS/Italian Civils Rules and Balance Sheet Schemes.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with others within and outside the accounting team.
  • EU Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required.

PREFERENCES

  • Public accounting experience, ideally in the Big Four environment.
  • Experience with International subsidiaries and foreign currencies.
  • Familiarity with Blackline, Oracle & SAP is helpful.
