Job Description: About the Role Reporting to the VP of International Development and Distribution, the Associate Manager, Local Language Content plays a critical role in supporting all facets of IMAX’s local language releases. The role partners closely with internal distribution teams and external studios and filmmakers to ensure successful delivery, positioning, and performance of local language titles in IMAX. This position combines post-production knowledge, project coordination, and analytical rigor to help drive a data-informed approach to IMAX’s rapidly growing local language business. The Associate Manager will contribute to strengthening IMAX’s relationships with local partners, enhancing operational efficiency, and maximizing box office outcomes for local content. What You'll Do: Local Language Content Support Support the end-to-end release process for local language titles in IMAX, from title evaluation through theatrical release. Coordinate closely with filmmakers, studios, and post-production partners to ensure IMAX technical and creative standards are met. Act as a point of contact for local language content-related inquiries, ensuring clear communication and timely follow-ups. Distribution & Release Coordination Collaborate with the distribution team to facilitate the scheduling and release of local language titles across regional markets. Track and monitor release calendars to ensure IMAX is optimally positioned for local openings. Assist in identifying opportunities to secure key local titles for IMAX engagement. Post-Production & Technical Oversight Review post-production workflows and deliverables to ensure compliance with IMAX requirements. Support quality control processes and troubleshoot issues related to formatting, delivery timelines, or technical execution. Liaise with internal technical teams to align on post-production expectations and solutions. Analysis, Reporting & Insights Monitor and analyze box office performance of local language titles. Prepare reports and presentations that provide actionable insights on performance, trends, and opportunities. Support forecasting and performance reviews to inform strategic decision-making for local language content. Process Improvement & Partner Management Help streamline workflows and improve business practices with both new and existing local partners. Contribute to the development of standardized processes that support scalability and efficiency as the local language slate grows. Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support long-term growth.
