JOB DESCRIPTION:
L3Harris Technologies is seeking an Associate Manager, Quality Engineering to lead and support quality initiatives within our operations. This role is responsible for driving quality assurance, compliance, and continuous improvement efforts in accordance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and other relevant standards. The successful candidate will manage a team of quality engineers and collaborate cross-functionally to enhance product reliability, ensure regulatory compliance, and improve manufacturing and supplier quality processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of six years prior relevant experience. Graduate degree with a minimum of four years prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, ten years minimum prior relevant experience.
- Must be a US Citizen
PREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Hands-on working experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with aerospace, defense, or highly regulated industries preferred.
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, ISO 9001, AS9100 and supplier quality management.
- Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Have sufficient financial background to perform, lead and mentor Cost Account Management (CAM) activity within the team
- Knowledge of Electro Static Discharge (ESD) control and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention systems
- Ability to make decisions and be a perfomance oriented / self-starter
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (Minitab, SPC, DOE) and quality improvement techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
