Job Description

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • Education: University degree in health services research, public health, epidemiology, economics, or pharmacy
  • Experience and/or Training:
  • 0-1 years’ professional work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to be part of project teams
  • Strong multitasking, organization, prioritization, and project management skills
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to changing customer needs/demands and to environment changes
  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills and capacity to manage conflict constructively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Language: Business-level English proficiency is required
  • Technology/Equipment: in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of applications, Excel in particular

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Master’s degree in health services research, public health, epidemiology, economics, or pharmacy is an asset
  • Experience and/or Training:
  • Understanding of the Canadian healthcare landscape, health technology assessment (HTA), Canadian private and public payers
  • Knowledge of the practical application of pharmacoeconomics in HTA review
  • Relevant pharmaceutical/biotech industry market access experience is an asset
  • Language: Reading, writing and communication in French is an asset

Responsibilities

Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of our project teams. These results are achieved by:

  • Supporting and assisting the EVERSANA team with submissions to Canada’s Drug Agency L’Agence des medicaments du Canada (CDA-AMC) , Institut National d’Excellence en Santé et Services Sociaux (INESSS), provincial agencies/programs, and private payers through:
  • Conducting background research, summarizing research findings, and critically appraising relevant literature and data sources to support and develop submission dossier components for CDA-AMC, INESSS, the provinces and private payers.
  • Assisting in the writing of reports and developing submission dossier components such as clinical landscape review, clinical summaries, budget impact models/reports, pharmacoeconomic evaluations, payer-specific documentation and forms, and pricing analysis/strategy.
  • Keeping abreast of CDA-AMC and INESSS submission guideline requirements and supporting project leads by compiling submission documents and developing administrative templates and forms for these HTA review bodies.
  • Having a specialized knowledge in the private payer and provincial copy submission requirements and supporting project/team leads by developing and uploading/emailing submission documents to private payers and provinces.
  • Preparing draft slide decks for project leads (e.g. for landscape reviews, CDA-AMC/INESSS/private payers, the pan-Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance (pCPA) and advisory boards)
  • Assisting the development of tools to be used in the negotiation with the pCPA and for Product Listing Agreements (PLAs)
  • Developing skills and experience in project management and a client facing role through:
  • Conducting internal presentations
  • Liaising between clients and Canadian payers under direct supervision of the team lead
  • Participating in weekly client check-in calls and assisting project leads with agendas and minutes
  • Monitoring and analyzing the access and reimbursement landscape in Canada to provide clients with updates regarding the ever-changing market access environment
  • Contributing to research efforts undertaken by the EVERSANA team to publish on issues of pharmaceutical policy in Canada
