The Boeing Company - Government Accounting has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Material Government Accountant (Level 2) to join our team in Hazelwood, Missouri.
This Associate Material Government Accountant position will include representing the team as a technical expert across sites and functions and supporting initiatives with external customers and auditors. This position also offers the opportunity to lead and collaborate on efforts that develop the people, processes and tools within the team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 1+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related role

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience with one or more of the following financial systems: Cognos, Interactive Reporting Environment (IRE), Enterprise Analysis System (EAS), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Cost Schedule Performance Reporting (CSPR), Enterprise Planning and Analysis System (EPAS)
  • Experience with CompassCONTRACT (CC)
  • Experience in Government Accounting
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel (i.e. formulas, pivot tables, linking worksheets)
Responsibilities
  • Perform data validation and review of material accounting data
  • Analyze data and provide business insights to aid in decision making by business and finance leaders
  • Engage with the business to assess internal and external factors, their impact on business performance and to achieve organizational objectives
  • Material Part Tracking
  • Ensure compliance and champion internal controls and procedures
  • Perform critical accounting functions such a cost accounting, account reconciliations and journal preparations
