Parsec Technologies, Inc. is a high performance, American antenna company designing and manufacturing next generation, best in class, industrial antennas for 5G, Public Safety, Enterprise and IoT. Parsec is now hiring an Associate Mechanical Engineer to work in our Plano facilities side by side with our RF engineers, design engineers, mechanical engineers, and production engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Perform all necessary tests and inspections on incoming parts and products to determine a variety of qualities such as dimensions, finish, tolerances and finishes etc., and document data obtained during all quality activities.
- QC Incoming parts and create a detailed report for failed parts.
- Produce high quality finished goods and test random products from a batch for quality.
- Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Troubleshoot and make basic repairs and calibrations to analytical and production equipment.
- Maintain an organized and functional laboratory workspace, including preventative maintenance, calibration of equipment, and maintain all laboratory calibration records.
- Coordinate with equipment/service vendors for technical assistance
- Conduct testing on components to determine and record damage accumulation.
- Provide support for in-house fabrication and assembly by fabricating jigs and fixtures to increase output and support manufacturing.
- Support the Engineers’ efforts to work with the team to help improve processes, equipment issues, etc. to constantly improve productivity.
- Perform root-cause analysis to solve critical quality issues.
- Able to effectively identify and report potential safety and quality hazards/risks.
- Familiarity with the MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint is required.
- Provide feedback and communication to help improve the assembly process to increase productivity and throughput.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 years of relevant experience if in possession of an associate degree in mechanical engineering or higher.
- Ability to perform repetitive work according to established procedures.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and meticulous data recording.
- Excellent time management skills to consistently maintain a high level of productivity.
- Must have soldering skills and have experience working with basic hand tools such as hand saw, angle grinder, drill, files, shears, screwdrivers etc.
- Ability to learn Basic woodworking skills.
- Must be knowledgeable with micrometers, calipers and other measuring instruments and gauges.
- Experience working with a computer in a Windows environment.
- Require proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of basic statistical concepts like average and standard deviation and how to use Excel to analyze data would be a plus.
