Job Description
AECOM are currently seeking an experience Associate - Mechanical, to join our MEP engineering teams, within our Rail practice. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of mechanical systems for state-of-the-art metro stations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and functionality.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in transportation projects, with a focus on vertical assets
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and their application in metro station design
  • Familiarity with HVAC, fire protection, and other mechanical systems in public transportation
  • Understanding of building codes and safety regulations relevant to metro station infrastructure
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies is a plus
  • Willingness to work on-site at metro station locations when required

Responsibilities
  • Develop and review mechanical designs for metro station systems using CAD software
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with other engineering disciplines
  • Perform calculations and analysis to ensure designs meet project requirements and safety standards
  • Create technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for mechanical systems
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on project feasibility and cost-effectiveness
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical design issues during project implementation
  • Stay updated on industry trends, building codes, and safety regulations relevant to metro station design
  • Support senior engineers in project planning and execution
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies
