Description

Pennoni is hiring! In particular, we are looking for a Staff Civil Engineer to contribute to our municipal engineering projects on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Philadelphia, PA.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering-oriented discipline (preferably Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering).
  • 4+ years of professional experience working in Engineering, preferably with infrastructure / utility projects.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PE is a plus!
  • Experience working with water resources (such as stream and waterway restoration) is a plus!
  • Experience working on infrastructure / utility projects, especially wet utilities.
  • Experience working on design and permitting activities.
  • Proficiency with engineering tools (e.g.: CADD, GIS, analytical programs, etc.); experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS / ArcInfo is preferred.
  • Experience with H&H tools (e.g.: InfoSWWM, HydroCAD, OpenFlows WaterCAD, WaterGEMS, & SewerGEMS) is a plus!
  • Proficiency on all standard Microsoft Office software applications (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision while displaying a positive attitude.
  • Excellent organizational skills, especially with a proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written); technical writing skills are strongly preferred!
Responsibilities
  • Work on a variety of water resources & wet utilities projects; this includes municipal engineering for Pennsylvania municipalities (including subdivision & land development reviews, road rehabilitation, stormwater management / MS4, capital improvements, grant writing, and attendance at public meetings).
  • Serve as our Engineer of Record on design/construction activities for plants and/or pipeline projects.
  • Preparation of engineering reports.
  • Work on project design and permitting.
  • Coordinate master planning-related tasks.
  • Perform (outdoor) construction inspection work, when needed.
  • Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.
