The Boeing Company is looking for an Associate Network Security Specialist to join the team in Hazelwood, MO; North Charleston, SC; Kent, WA; Seattle, WA; Everett, WA; or Ridley Park, PA.
The selected candidate will evaluate, design, and implement host information security solutions for Windows, Linux, databases, and middleware, collaborate with the host protection team to develop and integrate secure configurations, and advise external teams while assessing the security posture of emerging technologies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 1+ years of experience utilizing Linux and/or Window operating systems
  • 1+ years of experience with technical infrastructure configurations such as servers, databases, networks, development environments, services and software
  • 1+ years of experience in configuration management of security tools for vulnerabilities and asset tracking

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Active government clearance or ability to obtain clearance (e.g., Secret, Top Secret)
  • Experience with security policy and security frameworks and how it relates to technologies
  • Experience with NIST, DOD, other regulations
  • Experience with data classification and technical controls to protect different types of data
  • Experience with host security standards/benchmarks (CIS, STIG, etc)
Responsibilities
  • Assists with the efforts to define, develop, integrate and maintain security technical controls in a variety of IT environments and systems
  • Assists with the efforts to define security product specifications tools and techniques for intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, and data loss prevention
  • Encryption of data, Identity/Access management and authentication method
  • Assists with and performs the analysis of security designs and assists with the creation of recommendations on design solutions
  • Assists with creating designs and recommendations that lower or eliminate security risk
