Associate Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Technician Company: Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has exciting opportunities for multiple Associate Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Quality Specialists to join our BDS Fabrication Quality Organization in Berkeley, MO! Employees will be required to obtain a minimum of Level II certification in UT or RT method. Failure to achieve or maintain the required certifications may lead to termination of employment. The NDT Specialist will join and work in a dynamic team supportive team within a fabrication environment using automated and traditional systems, evaluating collected data, making accept/reject decisions. Ideal candidates will have the ability to interpret blueprint requirements and have the capability of supporting and/or developing inspection procedures. Successful candidates will have experience in NAS410 standard, be an effective communicator, and be able to work across multiple diverse functions, including partnering with operations and engineering teams. The Nondestructive Test Technician Level II is responsible for performing and overseeing nondestructive testing (NDT) procedures in accordance with NAS410/BSS7698 standards. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity and safety of aerospace components and systems. The technician will utilize various NDT methods, including but not limited to ultrasonic, eddy current, radiographic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testing, to detect defects and ensure compliance with industry standards. Position Responsibilities: Performs setup for specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipment to controlled standards. Assists in the documentation of procedures for setting up test equipment. Analyzes routine test, inspection or statistical data to determine product and processes conformity. Assists with standard corrective action recommendations. Documents and communicates standard test, analysis or measurement results. Reports potential adverse trends or anomalous results. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Successful completion of NAS410-qualifying education for Non-Destructive Testing Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical publications and/or specifications More than 1 year of experience working with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Current or recently held (in the last 18 months) NAS410 Certified Level II in one or more NDT methods (Radiography (RT), Eddy Current (ET), Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle (MT) 1+ years of experience with aerospace Non-Destructive Testing Experience in manufacturing or manufacturing support environment 1+ year of experience performing Non-Destructive Testing on composite parts Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard Travel: This position may require up to 10% travel Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
