Your role at St John of God St John of God Geelong Hospital
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager acts as a responsible and effective team member and leader, assists in the overall clinical management of the ward and is responsible for the provision of comprehensive patient care and supervision of care given by nurses in accordance with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency).
This position is available with our Maternity Ward. We are the only private obstetric hospital in Geelong and have a Special Care Nursery staffed with neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners caring for babies born from 34 weeks. We offer pre and post-natal support to women through our Pregnancy, Baby and Healthcare in the Home.
The Position:
All other reasonable duties as directed by the relevant Manager/Supervisor.
You will hold registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with significant recent experience and the ability to practice at an advanced level.
To succeed you will have well developed leadership skills and the ability to plan, assess and develop team and individual performance.
