Your role at St John of God Ballarat Hospital
We are seeking applications for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join our Oncology Ward on a permanent full-time or part-time basis.
Supported by the Cancer and Palliative Care Coordinator, as well as, the Clinical Educator, our Ward consists of 30 beds that support Oncology, Haematology and Palliative care.
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager acts as a responsible and effective team member, assists in the overall clinical management of the ward, is responsible for the provision of comprehensive patient care and supervision of care given by junior staff.
The Position
You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and will demonstrate extensive clinical experience in the Oncology specialty.
You will have well developed analytical and problem-solving skills and knowledge of acts and legislation that impact on the practice of nursing. With demonstrated ability to develop and build effective nursing, medical and interdisciplinary relationships and teams
To succeed you will have delegation, planning, organisational and motivational skills, be committed to on-going education and self-directed learning, and effectively communicate and educate patients, family and staff.
