We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the leadership team of our Acacia Ward at Peninsula Private Hospital in Langwarrin as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this position you will be taking on a key leadership role within our Acacia Ward, a 24-bed unit with a mixed focus of Oncology, Haematology, Palliative and Medical patients. You will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager in the efficient management of staff and resources within the ward ensuring achievement of excellence in care delivery in line with policies and procedures, best practice and legislative requirements.
You will be mentoring and leading a passionate team of nurses and clinical support staff alongside a supportive leadership team so this role will suit an individual driven to help others succeed. This is a perfect opportunity for a senior nurse to step up into a management role and build your clinical leadership skillset.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leadership: Assist in managing the nursing team, ensuring high standards of patient care.
  • Clinical Duties: Provide direct patient care, including administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other treatments.
  • Coordination: Oversee daily operations, manage staff schedules, and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with NSQHS.
  • Support: Offer support and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
