Cleveland-Cliffs Columbus Coatings is hiring an Associate Operations Technology Engineer. This role designs and supports technical operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Technical or Equivalent Related Experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Materials, Metallurgical, Electrical, Computer Sciences or Mechanical Engineering
  • Previous experience or internship/co-op in manufacturing

Responsibilities
  • Reviews current standard operating procedures in each area of the process
  • Investigates, designs, and implements practice/process changes to improve the quality, delivery, efficiency, yield, and throughput and to reduce manufacturing cost
  • Assists R&D in the development; tests and implements new technologies, systems and models; participates in the implementation of equipment upgrades
  • Conducts training to ensure understanding and successful implementation of any enhanced procedures
  • Develops and maintains Performance Improvement Action Plans (PIAPs) related to continuous process improvement and tracking of management gains
  • Provides technical support and assists in developing the scope and evaluating potential solutions for proposed and approved capital projects in assigned area
  • Mentors engineers within the Op Tech Group on problem solving methods
  • Other duties as assigned
