Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Division Chief to oversee our esteemed Geriatrics Division. As Division Chief, you will play a pivotal role in recruiting, developing, and managing a team of exceptional faculty members, while driving clinical excellence and fulfilling our educational mission. At the Department of Internal Medicine, Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS), we are committed to providing exceptional care and support to patients requiring geriatric and palliative care services. Goldrich Institute for Integrated Neurohealth, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and advancing geriatric and palliative care practices. Here are some of the exciting things you will get to do as Division Chief: Oversee the development and implementation of strategic plans for the Division. Establish and maintain high standards of patient care. Promote research and scholarship in geriatric medicine. Recruit and retain outstanding faculty. Build and maintain strong relationships with clinical partners. Ensure the regional and national visibility of the Division's patient care, education research, other scholarly/academic activities, and community outreach programs. Collaborate with other Divisions, Departments and area hospitals to promote interdisciplinary care and foster growth of the Division. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements. Foster a culture of continuous learning and educational excellence, promoting the professional development of residents, fellows, and other learners. Support and grow clinical and training programs to meet the unique needs of the populations served.
