We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate to join our Technology team working with high regarded Partner, Hamish Fraser in our Sydney office.

About the work and the team

• Work with industry leading technology partner and advise on commercial issues and regulatory matters for clients in all facets of the information technology and communications industries.
• Assist clients navigate legal issues in the rapidly changing privacy and cyber risk environment working closely with the litigation team on data breaches and subsequent litigation.
• Advising clients on the issues associated with the digital business model, software, cloud, distribution, confidentiality, e-commerce, security, IT procurement and outsourcing.
• The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a close-knit team with a supportive culture and an actual desire to promote flexible working.

About you

• You will have between 4 to 7 years’ experience gained at a well-regarded mid to top-tier firm and have worked in technology, data protection and privacy, technology contracts.
• Experience in general commercial, transaction and M&A work would also be ideal.
• A passion for innovation and technology and a strong work ethic are essential.
• We are open to looking at candidates who are looking for a step-up role.
