At Hovione, we are seeking a proactive and collaborative Associate OT & Data Engineer to join our team in Portugal. This role is ideal for someone with a background in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry who thrives on connecting departments, driving sustainability initiatives, and embedding environmental responsibility into everyday operations. Your Role As a Sustainability Specialist, you will: Support the implementation of new or changed installations and equipment. Maintain standards Incorporate new solutions for digital innovation Introduce or propose new objectives to have a continuous improvement Collaborate and support sites automation Maintain and develop standards, procedures and specifications for continuous and discrete control, alarms, interlocks, and human machine interfaces in compliance with internal and external guidelines We are looking to recruit a Candidate: We are looking to recruit a Candidate: Engineering Degree (preferably Chemical, Mechanical or Automation Engineering with chemical manufacturing automation experience) Minimum experience of 3 years in a role related to automation projects in industrial operations Equipment automation design, commissioning, and qualification Good computer skills (office software tools, preferably with computer programming knowledge: Sequential Flow Charts and Function Block diagrams, Visual Basic, Mathematical software packages) Fluent in English written and spoken Team spirit, initiative, dynamism, and creativity Root cause analysis / problem-solving skills Hovione is a proud Equal Opportunity Employer Inclusion and diversity are key to us.
