Description

These roles will be to provide specialist palliative and end of life care for babies, children and young adults in the setting of family’s choice hospice, home or hospital. You will be expected to participate in the 24/7 on call service and available to work flexibly over a 7-day period. As a band 6 post you will have the opportunity to work alongside and gain knowledge and skills from our Specialist multidisciplinary team and become competent in caring for a diverse group of patients from perinatal to young adults and every age in between.
In response to the increasing number of perinatal referrals, we are seeking to recruit one candidate with a demonstrated interest and expertise in perinatal care.
Key skills for this job include Experience of complex care/palliative and/or end of life care; Perinatal/neonatal experience desirable; Excellent clinical skills, Ability to work in a small team; ability to work autonomously; excellent communication skills; ability to network with internal and external professionals; flexible and responsive; resilient; car driver.

Our wider multidisciplinary team provides symptom management, palliative and end-of-life care, as well as planned and emergency short breaks both at the hospice, Liverpool day therapy unit and in the community. Dedicated family therapeutic support and counselling is provided for all the family on an individual or group basis.
