Description

OEC provides software solutions to those who work in the automotive parts and repair industry. Our solutions make it easier for automotive industry professionals to buy and sell parts, conduct repair research & planning, optimize estimates, improve the parts supply chain, and more. OEC partners with many of the world’s largest manufacturers, dealers and suppliers, shops and repairers, and service providers, giving our customers access to a comprehensive network and a streamlined workflow.
Job Summary
In this role, you’ll be responsible for generating qualified leads for our broker team, proactively identifying new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with dealership parts managers and service personnel.
You will thrive in a fast-paced, high-call-volume environment, using a mix of persistence, creativity, and collaboration to uncover opportunities that drive revenue. In addition to your lead generation duties, you’ll step in to cover broker’s territories when needed by managing accounts and ensuring customers receive excellent service in a broker’s absence.
This position is ideal for a proactive salesperson early in their career that loves connecting with people, thrives on measurable results, and can adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Proactively contact dealerships (primarily parts managers) within the assigned book of business to uncover and qualify new business opportunities, with the ability to handle a high volume of calls daily. Generate and pass qualified leads to the broker team for follow-up and closing.
2. Analyze market trends and feedback to create effective talk tracks that uncover opportunities and generate revenue for the PartsBrokerDirect Team.
3. Collaborate with brokers to understand territory strategies and align outreach efforts for maximum revenue impact.
4. Maintain accurate lead and account information in CRM/offer console.
5. Step in to cover broker territories during absences by managing active accounts, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring smooth territory operations.
6. Respond to inbound inquiries from prospects, gathering information to determine fit and readiness before handing off to a broker.
7. Use creativity and problem-solving skills to identify untapped opportunities within assigned markets.
8. Partner with colleagues to share market insights, brainstorm lead-generation tactics, and coordinate efforts to grow the customer base.
9. Monitor market trends and provide feedback to improve sales approaches and solicitation strategies.
Education
An associate degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. In the absence of a degree, equivalent work experience directly related to the key responsibilities of the role will be considered as a substitute for the degree.
Experience
Minimum 1–2 years of proven experience in B2B sales, lead generation, or account management, with a track record of successfully engaging prospects, qualifying opportunities, and consistently meeting or exceeding outreach, sales goals, and conversion targets in a high-call-volume environment.

Must also be able to demonstrate the following skills and abilities:

  • Experience working in a high-volume outreach environment, with the confidence and resilience to handle a high daily call volume (phone-based sales preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Creative and resourceful approach to generating leads.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work closely with brokers and other colleagues.
  • Comfortable stepping into an account management role temporarily when covering broker territories.

What makes working at OEC awesome? It varies from employee to employee.
