Objective Delivery of Comprehensive Patient Care Principal Accountabilities : (A) Operational  • Assemble and operate extracorporeal circulation & Membrane oxygenation for cardio pulmonary bypass procedure for adult & pediatric, Operates intra-aortic balloon pumps & cell saver machine. Performs ECMO procedure.  • Administer blood products, drugs and other substances through heart-lung machines and other devices as directed by cardiologist.  • Assist heart devices to support or temporarily replace patients' cardiopulmonary functions during open-heart surgery and other devices as directed by cardiac surgeons and anesthetists  • Monitor vital signs to maintain patients' physiological functions during cardiopulmonary surgery  • Supervise and train student clinical perfusionists and other clinical perfusionists. • Should have the knowledge of benefits of all the cardiac tests. • Should know and maintain the equipments. • In this role, the qualified candidate will be relied on to perform and document cardiology procedures. • Specific responsibilities include providing preliminary technician reports; assisting RN with room prep, patient care and other department related duties; and obtaining/processing diagnostic test results • Accurate records are kept by him regarding the type, amount, and effect of any medications administered. • Must be able to effectively work with all age groups, as well as establish strong working relationships with coworkers and physicians.  • Good level of computer literacy.   Performance Parameters • Compliance to protocols. • Internal customer feedback from CTVS team (surgeons and OT staff) • Cost consciousness   Education Essential: Bachelors degree (ideal) Experience 2 - 4 years  clinical experience Knowledge • Competent in providing prompt and high quality patient care. Knowledge. • Demonstrate compliance to lay down policies and protocols. • Builds good interpersonal relationships.  
Responsibilities
