ASSOCIATE PERSONNEL ANALYST (LIMITED TERM) – HUMAN RESOURCES / CLASSIFICATION & HIRING / PEACE OFFICER SELECTION UNIT / SACRAMENTO HEADQUARTERS

This position is a 12-month Limited-Term position that may be extended and/or become permanent.
The reporting location for this position is at the brand-new Natural Resources Headquarters building in Sacramento, California. This position will work under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager II.
Our Classification & Hiring (C&H) branch is growing! The Peace Officer Selection Unit is seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic, customer service and detail-oriented individuals that are comfortable working in the grey. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting with Bargaining Unit 07 hiring duties, including assisting with State Park Peace Officer Cadet appointment documents, proctoring exams, and conducting departmental hires which includes both Classification and Pay and Certification tasks. The incumbent will be responsible for analyzing Request for Personnel Actions, drafting job controls, verifying eligibility and minimum qualifications, sending job offer letters, etc.
This is a great opportunity to learn and perform the full range of hiring tasks involved with the State of California’s and State Park Peace Officer’s hiring and processes.
Please note: The Associate Governmental Program Analyst eligibility list may be used as an appropriate for the Associate Personnel Analyst. Candidates with Associate Governmental Program Analyst eligibility must also meet the minimum qualifications for the Associate Personnel Analyst classification in order to be eligible for appointment.
This position is designated as telework eligible-remote centered, the selected incumbent will be required to report to the office a minimum of two (2) full days per week.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
