Global leading design and manufacturing client that distributes apparel, accessories have an immediate in-house opportunity for Associate Planner to join their team!
Overview:
Seeking an Associate Planner to support sales planning, inventory management, and forecasting across multiple brands in a fast-paced retail environment. This position reports to the Director of Planning and collaborates closely with buying, merchandising, and inventory teams to drive business results. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of retail math and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop monthly sales, margin, and inventory plans for various brands.
  • Collaborate with wholesale sales teams to evaluate historical sales data and create actionable plans.
  • Reforecast sales, margin, receipts, and inventory on a monthly or as-needed basis.
  • Submit monthly re-forecasted budgets and end-of-month reports.
  • Monitor and control inventory stock levels to align with sales plans.
  • Identify inventory risks and opportunities based on trends and data analysis.
  • Track open orders versus planned sales and receipts.
  • Perform other duties as required to support team and company operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a planning or buying role within retail or related industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong overall computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Solid understanding of retail math, sales forecasting, and inventory management principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
  • Keen analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines while managing multiple assignments.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-up.
  • Experience thriving in a fast-paced environment is essential.
