Acutronic is looking for an Associate Planner to join our team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for procurement and material management activities, both analytical and transactional, to support the Company’s goals/objectives and project requirements. Our ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant purchasing, inventory, and supplier management experience.

YOUR PROFILE/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field, from an accredited college or university, preferred.
  • Two years of relevant purchasing, inventory, and supplier management experience, preferred.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • CPIM certification, a plus
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, material management, and the impact to business
  • Customer-oriented mind-set
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong computer skills including but not limited to MS Office and ERP solutions

Responsibilities
  • Defines the required purchases or deliverables by planning, scheduling and monitoring the movement of materials, goods or services throughout the product life cycle
  • Utilizes systems and files in the planning, monitoring, and launching of production work orders and outside process orders in support of operational objectives
  • Develops overall plan committed to on time customer order fulfilment
  • Works on a wide variety of complex planning activities where production techniques are new or variable
  • Works from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading and capacity requirements
  • Reschedules in case of design changes, labor and material shortages, backlogs and other interruptions
  • Responsible for inventory processes and accuracy
  • Investigates and implements corrective actions for cycle count variances
  • Support procurement in issuing purchase orders for direct and indirect goods and services
  • Monitor inventory levels and determining inventory needs for direct and indirect supplies
  • Collaborate with internal cross functional teams like quality, engineering, production, manufacturing, receiving and shipping to drive agile and efficient procurement process
