JOB DESCRIPTION

The Associate Planner will be a key member of the Glow Events planning team. They will be responsible for producing their own events from start to finish, maintaining client relationships, and executing innovative and cutting edge event designs. Below is an overview of the roles and expected job responsibilities. These may change based on the need of the company.

Education

Responsibilities

Manage Client Accounts

  • Successfully execute a minimum of (5) client events at a time. For example:
  • Manage 2+ events with budgets ranging from $50K- $150K as sole lead
  • Manage 3+ events with budgets ranging from $200K- $500K as co-lead with Sr. Planner or Director
  • Set up new client files upon booking and follow Glow planning templates and processes
  • Manage client timeline, checklist and budget, and all pre-planning duties for client in the months leading up to the event.
  • Serve as co-point of contact directly with clients to plan events throughout the year
  • Work directly and maintain relationships with all event vendors
  • Be onsite during client events and help supervise all event logistics from set up through break down
  • Work on both corporate and social events
  • Balance shifting priorities with various deadlines
  • Show strong proficiency in prioritization and conflict resolution
  • Travel within the Bay Area will be standard (Napa, Silicon Valley, etc.) and some travel outside of the state.

Networking

  • You will be asked to attend various networking events throughout the year. You goal for these events is to meet fellow vendors and be a representative of the Glow brand
  • Foster relationships with vendors and seek new services we can offer to our clients

Event Design

  • Assist with executing lead planner’s vision for mood boards & design decks
  • Source materials needed to execute design vision
  • Stay up to date on current trends and design ideas we can offer to our clients

Budget Management

  • Keep track of client expenses and update client facing budget

Team Dynamics

  • As an Associate Planner, you will work directly under a Senior Planner for whom you will provide updates on your task flow and progress. The Senior Planner will teach you any new project tasks as needed. You will be responsible for the client account and work completion for the event.

  • Monday to Friday 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM

Salary Range

  • $75K-$85K (non-negotiable)
  • Additional bonus $3K-$10K
