Responsible for supporting a team of Portfolio Managers in managing Discretionary Portfolio Management mandates, ensuring client portfolios adhere to product-specific guidelines and bank policies, and performing various administrative tasks. Support the day-to-day management of client portfolios and provide general administrative support to Portfolio Managers. Work independently with minimal supervision to complete assigned tasks.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Associate Portfolio Manager is expected to provide support to a team of Portfolio Managers (“PMs”) in their day-to-day management of the Discretionary Portfolio Management (“DPM”) mandates offered by Bank Julius Baer (the “Bank”) to its high net worth individuals.
The main responsibilities of this Candidate include supporting the PMs in servicing and managing the Clients’ DPM portfolios, update the model portfolio as needed and ensuring the Client portfolios’ adherence to the product-specific guidelines and Bank’s inhouse policies as First Line of Defence (“1LOD”).
The candidate is also expected to be involved in the Investment Proposal generation, Client’s meeting materials preparation, ad-hoc request from the Relationship Managers (“RMs”) as well as providing the general administrative support to the PMs.
The candidate needs to be proficient in Power point, Microsoft Word and Excel. He/she is expected to work closely with the Portfolio Managers (“PMs”) and to deal with large amount of presentation materials.
Key performance indicators include efficiency and accuracies in completing both the tasks assigned and in handling the ad-hoc requests from the PM team. He/she should have a strong analytical and problem solving skills and will be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
